Statutory Examination & Testing and System Design
Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) is a type of
engineering control designed to reduce exposure to hazardous substances
in the workplace. Regulation 9 of the Control of Substances Hazardous to
Health (COSHH) regulations requires that all engineering controls
provided by an employer be maintained in an efficient state, be in
efficient working order and in good repair. It further states that
employers must ensure that thorough examination and testing of these
controls is carried out at regular intervals (usually at least every 14
months) and suitable records kept. Oak Environmental Solutions Limited
